Ellington fan. Very active in DukeLYM discussion list.

I play clarinet and tenor/alto saxes, and have recently been able to use a bass clarinet. This is the same beautiful Buffet bass that I used from 1968 to the mid-1970's, and it is a delight to have again.

In October 2002 I formed a big band to play just Ellington's music. We meet once a month on a Saturday afternoon. It's a rehearsal band only, we likely will never perform, except for friends and family.

I've been in the Delta Concert Band near Vancouver on and off since 1968; steadily since 1987. I'm into genealogy, but need to rebuild my database one day.

Four cats, a small dog, wife, 3 grown kids, a grandson and now a granddaughter. Life is good to me.
