Custom dashes/symbols in your lyric text |

If you want dashes in your text that are treated as words you can use an en dash or an em dash. These can be accessed directly using the keyboard as follows:
- Ensure Number Lock (NumLock) is ON;
- Hold down the Alt key;
- On the number keypad (to the right of the main keyboard) type 0150 (for an en dash) or 0151 (for the longer em dash)
- Release the Alt key and the dash will appear.
Other useful symbol codes for giving your lyrics a more professional appearance are:
