Changing Tie and Slur Direction for the Entire Staff |
|
| User Tip #: 102 Offered By: David Chapman Last Modified: N/A |
When using layered staffs for 4 part choral harmony, the default direction of slurs and ties on notes is wrong: slurs are required above soprano and tenor parts, and below alto and bass parts. The default can be changed using the note properties dialog, but it's tedious changing each one individually. You can save time by entering a complete line or section of line with the slurs and ties taking up their defaults. Then select all the notes on the staff, select note properties (alt-enter) and set slur and tie directions for all notes at once. Any slurs and ties are then displayed correctly with a single action.
